Do your parents and/or friends know you are an adult performer and escort? Do you generally tell people what you do? If so, how do they react? If no, what’s your cover story (for example, I tell people I do affiliate marketing on the Internet, and only 1 in20 asks what I market): Well, some know and some don’t have any idea. Some know part of it. Some think that I run an adult site but, don’t know that I also perform on it. I have maintained “regular” jobs for much of the time that I have been in this industry and so that is usually what I am known for.
What are your personal and professional goals? Personally, I would like to be financially successful enough to invest in real estate and work on interior design most of my day. But, my main focus is changing the way female sexuality is perceived. I also enjoy giving the world a stylish porn site. I would like to continue to create websites and produce my own dvd line.
Along the same lines, how long do you think you’ll be doing this? What is your long term plan for the brand you are trying to build? I am not sure about that. It looks like your website and your blog are a year old. When were they launched? Was there a web site before these? Yes, they are about a year old. They were launched in September of last year. There was not a website prior to that.
How do you market your site? That is a secret.
How many affiliates do you have (approx)? What is the most productive one (or ones)? I started my affiliate program just in the last two months. I had done all of the previous marketing myself, which is sort of unheard of in porn. The most productive affiliate is a close friend of mine. I taught him my tricks.
How many members do you have for your site? How many of them have you had sex with? Ha ha. Well, I used to keep a running count and jump up and down when I got a new member. I would be jumping all day long now if I did that now. It is very successful. I have sadly not had sex with most of the members.
It seems like your escort business and your porn site business are intimately linked together, which is a unique approach. Most girls keep them pretty separate. Can you tell us about your approach? I actually do keep it quite separate. I keep the sites as two domains. From time to time, if I am visiting a city I will post that in the members area. But, that is as far as it goes.
Do you think you make more money as an escort because of your web site, and vice versa? I do absolutely. However, there are people that cannot afford my time, but they join my website. There are hardcore fans that want to meet me because of my website. There are clients that are too jealous to watch the site but, support me by being a member anyway.
You say you think visually, like a man. Why do you think that is? I have always been a visual person. I love architecture, interior design, fashion. I think being a ballet dancer also fostered my aesthetic eye.
Who does the shooting for Popwhore? The guy in the “interview” vignette seems to appear in several others vignettes. Who is he? Does he shoot much stuff for you? He is a friend of mine that is very skilled in filmmaking. He does shoot most of the site.
Who edits the movies? I have a group of very close friends that I work with. I have been explicit in my concepts and they give me exactly what I want.
What is your favorite porn movie? Director? I love Andrew Blake films.
What are your favorite mainstream movies. Directors? Amelie, Breakfast at Tiffany’s, Belle du Jour. Jean Pierre Jeunet, Woody Allen, Spike Lee.
How have they influenced your work? I love design and colour. I think Jean Pierre used such fantastic colouring in Amelie. He brightened a great deal of it and did a lot of contrast. It was just gorgeous. I think stylistically as well as I think in terms of the way bodies look together.
Do you operate your site by yourself? Mostly but, I have hired a couple very close friends that I trust to do webwork and some tedious editing.

In contradiction with my conservative values, I supported the initial nation building Pax American concept of the Iraq invasion. The execution of the war strayed so far from the Powell Doctrine and the occupation has been far from adequate. The stripped down corporate concept of winning the war that Rumsfeld dreamed up was sorely lacking in bureaucracy.
At this point I find myself agreeing with talk show host Michael Savage and Pat Buchanan’s concept of securing the oil pipelines, splitting Iraq into three ethnic regions, and leaving a much smaller security force to protect our vital interest… Everything else is so fucked up, we might as well get some oil out of it. I do think the Republican party has a slight chance to be infused with some Rockefeller Republican ideals that have been missing the last 20 years. And Mitt Romney’s dad was the Governer of Michigan, that’s always a good thing.
You do a lot of writing, it seems. How much time do you spend on that every day? Writing comes very naturally for me. I try to do it when it happens. My bedside has a notebook, my handbag has two, and my computer is constantly ready for writing. I will even write on my blackberry if I am desperate.
Oh, and what’s the deal with the “former ballet dancer”? Is this something you did as a kid, or as an adult? I was a professional ballet dancer. I trained from a very young age, attended performing arts school and was hired to dance with several major ballet companies.
