Booble Race Car Crashes
The Zekert’s Booble race car just completed its third weekend of racing at the SCCA 2005 Central Division Race of Champions and by all accounts it was a huge success. Race fans swarmed the Zekert tent for hand-outs of Booble stress boobs (similar to stress balls), Booble race patches and Booble race stickers. One man was so enthused he playfully “fondled” the Booble boobs on the hood of Zekert’s car.
To the downside, Zekert actually wiped out this past Sunday. Well, “wiped out” may be a little strong. Peter and the Booble car are fine in spite of losing control and shooting off into a run-off area of tall grass before hitting a guard rail. The grass slowed the car down enough to keep the damage to a minimum ($1000). As one of my colleagues here at Booble put it, “Only three races and Booble already needs a boob job!” Such is life. Too bad, too. Apparently Zekert was on his way to finishing in 3rd place. As it turns out, he only finished 11 out of a possible 20 laps.
Look for the Booble/Zekert race car on the weekend of June 24th, 25th and 26th at the June Sprints at Road America, Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin where Peter will be sure to hand out more stickers and stress boobs. After the little “lawn-mowing” exercise this past weekend, I’m told Peter will be keeping a stress boob in the car when racing from now on.
