How to determine your bra cup size
Most of us at some point in our lives have wondered how bra manufacturers determine breast sizes. There are several ways to measure them, but we thought we’d include two of the easiest, the fruit method and the finger method.
The classic “fruit” method goes something like this:
♥ Half Lemon (or smaller) = A Cup
♥ Half Orange = B Cup
♥ Half Grapefruit = C Cup
♥ Half Melon = D Cup
If you happen to be someone who doesn’t eat fruit or you haven’t gone grocery shopping and squeezed the produce in decades, here’s a rough way to measure according to the average-sized hand. (Obviously, if you know your hand is smaller or larger than average, you should adjust accordingly.)
♥ 0-2 fingers in measurement from the body = A cup
♥ 2-4 fingers = B cup
♥ 4 fingers (or a handful) to 6 fingers (assuming you had two more) = C cup
♥ 6 fingers to 8 fingers = D to DD cup.
